Digital Marketing Associate
The Position
We are looking for a resourceful, dynamic and highly effective digital marketer, to assist in developing and implementing Hot Pop’s SEO strategy. As an integral role of a tight-knit team, you will be able to directly contribute to the growth of our organization and brand. You will also make a meaningful impact in shaping our digital presence to guide a variety of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to ambitious entrepreneurs, in bringing innovative product ideas to life. You will have ownership of your goals and responsibilities, the flexibility to learn and expand on your capabilities with no ceiling, and collaborate with a group of incredibly passionate individuals.

We are an energetic design firm specializing in digital fabrication technologies like 3D printing and laser cutting. We’re located in the heart of the downtown Toronto. We are a tight knit team of 10, but we pack a big punch working on high profile, cutting edge projects that explore new frontiers of digital manufacturing. We take on unconventional problems in the search for new applications for these technologies. Responsibilities
- Implement customer discovery and lead generation.
- Answering, qualifying and nurturing inbound customer inquiries through the sales pipeline.
- Provide friendly, professional and knowledgeable customer service.
- Assist in client pitches and proposals.
- Organize customer database using CRM software.
- Generate sales and marketing reports and collect customer feedback.
- Assist in the creation and distribution of sales collateral.
- Work with the internal team to understand the production process.
- Coordinate attendance at tradeshows and events.
- Take on administrative tasks to support the managing partners.
About You
You are smart, driven professional who is passionate about digital marketing. You have an active web presence and a background in marketing, PR, web design or copywriting. You have an understanding of what SEO is and why it’s important for small business. You are an impeccable communicator, aggressive learner, extremely organized and self-guided. You are a team player, collaborator and most importantly, results driven. You value relationships and have no problem engaging in conversation with strangers, either digitally or IRL. You are a critical thinker who is passionate about solving hard problems. No matter what you’re challenged with, you can find a way to deliver. Your goal is to tell authentic and compelling stories in an industry you care about.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for meeting inbound marketing targets by strategically implementing SEO campaigns, content marketing and link building strategies.
- Applying continuous learning and critical thinking in order to positively impact the marketing goal via on a variety of SEO tactics.
- Identify and own relationships with social influencers, journalists and partners, including sourcing and contracting new partners, running & analyzing campaigns.
- Uphold brand values and messaging to ensure all marketing and sales content conveys them consistently, creatively and at an industry-leading level.
- Track and identify social trends and media opportunities relevant to the brand.
- Manage and implement the creation of compelling digital content that tells highly engaging stories through copy writing and visual mediums.
- Research, maintain and report on critical marketing data for management.
Qualifications
- Working understanding of SEO philosophies.
- Marketing degree or equivalent experience.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Confident and very personable when talking to strangers online or IRL.
- Proactive and resourceful.
- Ability to self manage.
- Highly organised, plans ahead.
- Ability to think critically and to use data to make decisions.
- Proficiency with Google Suite, CRM software, CMS platforms and other marketing content management tools.
- Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator a plus.
- Photography and/or graphic design skills a plus.
